The vibe
Less than a kilometre from the centre of Cannes, the Croix des Gardes forest offers 80 hectares of pine woods and shaded trails, a real breath of fresh air just steps from the Croisette.
What to know before you go
An official leaflet from the city of Cannes ("Croix des Gardes 2025") confirms that dogs can be let off the leash outside the fitness trail, where the leash becomes mandatory again. Two specialist dog-travel sources (educateur-canin.com and emmenetonchien.com) confirm the same rule.
Coco's tip: the fitness trail is clearly marked on site — look for the signs to know where to put the leash back on.
