The vibe

Plage de la Salis is a long fine-sand beach at the foot of the Cap d'Antibes, famous for its backdrop view of the snow-capped Alps — one of the finest panoramas on the French Riviera.

What to know before you go

A municipal order bans dogs from the beach during the beach season, from mid-June to mid-September. Outside this period, dogs on a leash are welcome, and many locals walk their companions here. Remember to pick up after your dog and to keep an eye on their behaviour.

Coco's tip: come in May–June or September–October — the water is still great for swimming and the beach is far quieter than in high summer.

Nearby

The old town of Antibes and its Provençal market are a few minutes away, as is the coastal path that runs along the Cap d'Antibes.
