The vibe

A family campsite spanning 5 hectares in the shade of umbrella pines and bougainvillea, a stone's throw from the town centre and harbour of Cavalaire-sur-Mer. Ideal for settling in with a tent, mobile home or van for several days while staying within walking distance of the beaches and shops.

What to know before you book

Pets are accepted, with precise rules: maximum 2 animals per accommodation, category 1 and 2 dogs forbidden, a lead and an up-to-date vaccination record are mandatory, and access near pools, sanitary blocks and dining areas is not allowed. On the amount of the dog supplement, our sources contradict each other: two booking portals (which nonetheless appear to share the same commercial origin, so should be treated as a single source) list €35/week in low season and €42/week in high season, while an independent site (PiNCAMP) instead shows free admission. We cannot settle this contradiction remotely — it's best to call the establishment directly before booking to find out the real rate.

Coco's tip: also ask whether some pitches suit a dog needing space better than a mobile home — some campsites reserve the best shaded spots for tent pitches.

Nearby

Bonporteau beach and Cavalaire's town centre are within walking distance, handy for stringing together a walk, the beach and errands without getting back in the car.
