The vibe
At the Mourillon beaches site, the City of Toulon has set up a dog park: two fenced enclosures where dogs can roam free, off the lead. One enclosure is reserved for small dogs, the other for medium and large dogs, to avoid bad encounters between very different sizes. Benches, a water point and poop-bag dispensers equip the space.
What to know before you go
Access is free and open year-round. So everyone can enjoy it at busy times, each visit is limited to 30 minutes. According to the information found, the quietest slots in summer would be early morning (7-9am) and late in the day (7-9pm) — aggregated information we could not confirm directly against the city's official document, worth checking on site if you want to avoid crowds. An up-to-date vaccination record for your dog is recommended for access to the enclosure.
This dog park is a third canine space in the Mourillon area, not to be confused with the two nearby dog beaches: Anse Tabarly (swimming, open access) and Pipady beach at the foot of the Tour Royale (a fenced 2,000 m² beach, opened in 2026). The dog park itself is not a swimming spot — it's a land-based enclosure for running off the lead.
Nearby
The four sandy coves of the Mourillon beaches, Anse Tabarly and Pipady beach are all a few minutes' walk away, as are Fort Saint-Louis and the Mourillon acclimatisation garden.
