Dogs — orientation to checkOnly authorised beach in the town, but its exact orientation is uncertain: our listing places the area on the east side, while a summary of the town hall's official page (cap-dail.fr, "Bord de mer") instead points to "la plage des chiens" on the west side of the point, on the coastal path — check directly on cap-dail.fr before relying on a precise orientation

The vibe

Cap-d'Ail, a small town squeezed between Monaco and Nice, reserves the eastern part of its Pointe des Douaniers beach for dogs. A pebble setting typical of this stretch of the Riviera, with views over the sea and the surrounding rocks.

What to know before you go

It's the only option in the town — handy if you're based in Monaco or nearby and looking for the closest dog-friendly spot to the Principality, which itself allows no beach for dogs.

Coco's tip: the Sentier des Douaniers coastal path, which follows the coast from Cap-d'Ail, is also a nice walk before or after the swim.

Nearby

The Golfe Bleu beach in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin and the Menton cani-plage are less than 20 minutes away by car, to vary the spots in this area.
