The vibe

The town of Cogolin has installed its own dog washing station, named "Toutou Douche", right behind the municipal water sports centre, accessible from the car park at Les Marines de Cogolin beach. The idea: let holidaymakers rinse off their dog after the beach or a walk, without heading back to the car covered in sand.

What to know before you go

The shower is designed to be practical: a height that avoids bending over, a ramp to help heavier or older dogs step up, and shampoo, conditioner and an anti-parasite product supplied on site. Payment is by card or contactless, starting from €1 according to information relayed by the town hall — but the exact price and the precise duration of a wash remain to be confirmed on site or with Cogolin town hall. Allow about ten minutes for a medium-sized dog. The facility can also simply be used to rinse paws after a walk, without a full wash.

Coco's tip: Les Marines beach only allows dogs in the evening (exact time slot varies by season) — so Toutou Douche is especially handy after a late swim or a walk around the Marines district.
