The vibe

A 4-star hotel in the heart of Nice, a few minutes' walk from the Promenade des Anglais, which claims a Pet Friendly certification that's fairly rare for an establishment of this category. A way to travel with your dog without giving up the comfort of an upscale hotel.

What to know before you book

Important correction to what we previously stated: the hotel's official website (FAQ/services page) states a 15€ surcharge for any animal (dog or cat), with no mention of a free allowance under 10kg — which contradicts the "free under 10kg" information published until now. Small to medium-sized dogs and cats remain welcome, up to two animals per room; above 10kg, the hotel asks that you call or write before booking to find out the exact conditions. Only breakfast remains off-limits to animals — remember to mention your dog when booking and ask for the exact surcharge amount.

Coco's tip: the hotel offers a "VIP" (Very Important Pet) welcome with bowls and small extras in the room — mention it when booking if you're interested.

Nearby

The Promenade des Anglais and the Old Town of Nice are within walking distance, handy for a walk before heading to La Lanterne beach, the only Nice beach allowed for dogs.
