The vibe

Nice's second dog beach alongside Lenval, Carras is a pebble beach that has welcomed dogs since 2008. It sits at the western end of the Promenade des Anglais, near the airport and the harbour of the same name.

What to know before you go

Unlike many beaches in the area that close to dogs in summer, Carras stays open year-round, on a leash. Dogs can swim and play together in this dedicated space.

Coco's tip: combined with the Lenval beach a bit further east, this beach makes Nice one of the most dog-friendly cities on the French Riviera.

Nearby

The neighbourhood is more residential than central Nice, handy if you're after a quieter moment than the heart of the Promenade des Anglais.
