The vibe

A long sandbank facing Saint-Tropez, with the lakeside town of Port Grimaud behind you. You get there on foot from the Parking des Terrasses, after passing the barriers of Port Grimaud Sud — a short walk that discourages the crowds a little and leaves the beach calmer for a walk with your dog.

What to know before you go

As on all the beaches in the town of Grimaud, access is governed by a municipal order and varies by season: from mid-September to the end of May, your dog can enjoy the beach all day with no restriction; from 1 June to 15 September, it will have to wait for the evening and can enjoy it from 9pm to 6am, outside the marked swimming areas. The leash remains compulsory year-round.

Coco's tip: in Port Grimaud itself, a small fenced, tree-lined park is reserved for dogs for a toilet break or a moment of rest between walks along the canals.

Nearby

The lakeside town of Port Grimaud is easy to visit on foot with a dog on leash, and boat trips along the canals also welcome clean dogs, with no extra charge.
