Right on the harbour of Nice, La Barque Bleue has served fish (grilled, baked, in sauce) and Niçois specialities facing the moored boats since 1982, alongside fresh Italian-style pasta — mussels marinière and vongole linguine are especially popular.

The official Nice Côte d'Azur tourist office page states that the establishment "has always spontaneously welcomed four-legged friends and, thanks to the Pet Friendly label, it's now official." A local press article (NicePresse) also confirms that the restaurant is among the Pet Friendly-labelled addresses at the harbour of Nice.
