The vibe

Au Chien Chic is located on rue Pascal, in the Mourillon district of Toulon. The salon offers baths, de-shedding, clipping and scissor cuts, plus a range of accessories: ready-to-wear clothing for dogs, leashes, collars, harnesses, cushions, carrier crates, shampoos and perfumes.

What to know before you go

A free nail trim comes with every grooming session, a nice touch that saves a separate trip to the vet just for that. One thing to watch: an independent directory links a different phone number and hours to the same address — possibly another business in the same building, possibly a directory error. The number 04 83 42 67 44 remains the most widely confirmed (PagesJaunes, chien.com); if in doubt, check by calling.

Coco's tip: use the visit to the salon to pick up a new leash or harness if needed — everything is sold on site.

Nearby

The Mourillon district and its beach are right next door, a good option for a walk before or after grooming.
