The vibe

La Calinerie, on avenue de Provence in Fréjus, is the oldest grooming salon in Fréjus and Saint-Raphaël according to its official website: founded in 1983, taken over by Thierry in 1996 and renovated in 2016 for the animals' comfort. Each dog is groomed one-on-one, entirely by Thierry himself, and the work is done in full view of the public — a deliberate transparency. What to know before you go

The salon is open Monday to Friday, from 9am to 12:30pm then 2 to 5pm. Free parking on site. For a dog over 20kg, pricing is by quote. An appointment is recommended, especially during the tourist season when slots fill up fast.
