The vibe

Clinique Vétérinaire du Careï, at 28 Val du Careï in Menton, offers a fairly wide range of care for dogs, cats and small pets: medical imaging, ultrasound, X-ray, dentistry, surgery, hospitalisation and even home visits. It is part of the Glavinaz Franzolini Loumeau group (Dr Sandrine Franzolini), which also runs a sister clinic in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin (Carnoles area).

What to know before you go

The clinic sees patients Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 12pm then from 2:30pm to 7pm. One point of caution on Saturdays: we previously listed 8:30am-12pm, but three matching, independent directories (PagesJaunes, Mappy, trouver-ouvert.fr) instead give 2:30pm-4pm — no source consulted confirms the "morning" version. Check directly by phone before heading over on a Saturday. As with any clinic, a call before coming also lets you check availability outside an emergency.

Coco's tip: in Menton, at the far end of the department, it's best to have a reliable vet address in mind before heading off into the hinterland with your dog.

Nearby

Menton town centre and its seafront are just a few minutes from the clinic.
