The vibe

In the continuation of the famous Marinières beach, this small, somewhat hidden pebble cove offers a picturesque setting with views over the Villefranche bay. It's the only stretch of beach in the area where dogs are allowed, on the left as you face the sea.

What to know before you go

Access is via the Marinière car park (right at the end) or via Boulevard Napoléon III then Avenue de l'Ange Gardien. Parking can be tricky right by the beach — better to use the paid car park and walk a little.

Coco's tip: the pebble slope is gentle, handy if your dog is just learning to swim — but watch for fatigue, as salt and effort tire them out fast.

Nearby

The old town of Villefranche, with its picturesque harbour and the Saint-Pierre chapel decorated by Cocteau, is worth a stroll after the swim. Several terraces in the area welcome dogs.
