The vibe

Coming from the west, this is where the stretch of the Alpes-Maritimes that allows dogs on its beaches begins — all the way to the Italian border. Plage de Vaugrenier runs from the "La Siesta" nightclub to the Marina Baie des Anges, a good length for a walk with your dog.

What to know before you go

A shower is available on site to rinse your dog off after swimming, a real plus in an area where dedicated equipment is rare. Two details confirmed by the official Villeneuve-Loubet tourist office (villeneuve-tourisme.com): barbecues are banned on the beach, and access is closed overnight between midnight and 6am.

Coco's tip: the Marina Baie des Anges, with its wave-shaped architecture, is worth a look at the end of the walk.

Nearby

The Hippodrome beach in Cagnes-sur-Mer, also fitted with a dog shower, is a few minutes away by car.
