The vibe
At the far end of the Base Nature François Léotard, Plage du Pacha is one of Fréjus's two official dog beaches (alongside the dog area of Saint-Aygulf/Esclamandes beach, at the other end of the Base Nature but separated by the Argens river mouth, so not reachable on foot from here). It's a peaceful oasis, noticeably quieter than Fréjus's main beaches, with a view of Saint-Aygulf and its surrounding beaches across the water.
What to know before you go
Access is on foot only, about 900 metres from the Base Nature car park, via a seafront promenade. The path narrows past the Fréjus military base, which can make it difficult with a stroller. According to the official page of the Fréjus tourist office, the beach is open every day, year-round; dogs are welcome on a leash, with no time restriction mentioned in the official sources consulted. From this beach you can watch kitesurfers in the distance on a neighbouring beach.
Nearby
The Base Nature François Léotard itself, with its trails and outdoor activities, rounds out the outing nicely before heading back to the car park.
