The vibe

Around Le Lavandou and Bormes-les-Mimosas, dog-friendly options are scarce — Le Lavandou outright bans dogs from its 12 beaches in season. Bormes stands out as an exception: right past the fishermen's huts leading to the Fort de Brégançon (the town's iconic presidential residence since 1968), this small pebble beach with views over Cabasson bay and the Giens peninsula welcomes dogs year-round, explicitly confirmed by the Bormes-les-Mimosas tourist office's own listing ("Animals are welcome").

What to know before you go

Access is on foot only from Cabasson beach, with compulsory paid parking at Parc Capalo (1 April to 1 November). Don't confuse this with Cabasson beach itself, right next door: according to the town hall (ville-bormes.fr) and the tourist office, dogs there are only tolerated from November to March, and strictly banned from 15 June to 30 September except on this specific strip by the Fort — the rule differs noticeably from one beach to the other even though they're neighbours.

Coco's tip: the coastal path between Cabasson and l'Estagnol offers a nice alternative if the beach isn't well suited on the day of your visit.

Nearby

Cabasson beach is right next door (same car park). Gouron beach, also dog-friendly year-round per the tourist office, lies further east between La Favière and Le Lavandou.
