The vibe

In the bay of Canebiers (spelled "Canoubiers" by the tourist office), this family-friendly sandy beach is beautifully exposed to the sunset over the Maures mountains. Its name reportedly comes from the Provençal canebe (hemp), which has nothing to do with the reeds growing there today. A sailing club sits nearby.

What to know before you go

As on the town's other beaches, the July 2026 municipal order allows dogs on leash from 6am to 9.30am and 6.30pm to 10pm, from 16 July to 15 September; banned the rest of the day during that period, with more relaxed rules off-season. This beach's listing on Saint-Tropez Tourisme's own site, however, still shows "dogs not allowed" with no mention of hours at all — most likely a listing that hasn't been updated since the order rather than a genuine exception, though that isn't guaranteed. Check the signage on site before settling in with your dog.

Coco's tip: save this spot for late afternoon (the 6.30pm-10pm window) to enjoy one of the peninsula's best sunsets over the Maures with your dog.

Nearby

The beach promenade continues east towards La Moutte and Les Salins. Towards town, Graniers beach is about 1.7 km away.
